MAS deputy Héctor Arce filed yesterday with the Prosecutor's Office a complaint for three alleged crimes against the mayor Manfred Reyes Villa and the manager of the Municipal Company of Green Areas and Alternative Recreation (Emavra), Milton Copa, for alleged irregularities in the construction of a "bullet train".From the municipality they rejected the accusations, and this Tuesday a report will be received from the decentralized company to clarify the situation, reported Secretary General Henry Rico.Four days ago, the company that built the "bullet train" denounced, through social networks, that Emavra had not paid it and decided to put the wagons up for sale to recover the investment.The owner assured Red Uno that the officials pressed for the train to be ready for the entertainment on April 12.They invested 50 thousand dollars, not counting the payment of the workers for a month.“It was complicated, but everyone was happy the day it was delivered.Then, they practically blew us away, "the owner told the television medium.With this complaint and after contacting the company, Arce filed a criminal complaint against Copa and Reyes Villa for three crimes: benefits due to the position, fraud and incompatible negotiations due to the position.He pointed out that they have audios, videos and "a set of evidence that supports the complaint."In addition, he indicated that Emavra would have given a deposit of 5 thousand dollars to the company to start construction.“They have told them 'we are going to help you, you are going to be awarded, we are going to help you'.They are verbal agreements, pressure to deliver the work and to date there is no commitment, ”he said.In this regard, the general secretary and chairman of the board of directors of Emavra, Henry Rico, pointed out that, as it is a decentralized company, "the Mayor has nothing to do with it.""The complaint has neither head nor tail because he does not know how decentralized companies work," he pointed out.However, Reyes Villa said that a report was requested from the manager of Emavra and that it will act in accordance with the regulations to avoid any irregularity in the municipal institution.More in Country
